Science
At Broadbottom CE (VC) Primary school, we encourage pupils to be inquisitive through questioning, exploration, research and application. The Science curriculum, based around the National Curriculum fosters a healthy curiosity in children about our universe and promotes respect for the living and non-living. We are committed to providing a stimulating, engaging and challenging learning environment.
The teaching of science is based around The Dimensions Curriculum and taught through thematic units. This approach helps pupils to develop the skills and knowledge required in science, whilst also making connections with other subjects and themes
Throughout our school pupils are encouraged to develop and use a range of working scientifically skills including:
- Identifying, Grouping and Classifying
