School Prayers
“Let your light shine.” Matthew 5:16
Prayer is an integral and important part of our day.
We regularly say prayers of hope, thankfulness, love and forgiveness.
Prayers you may hear in our school include:
Assembly Prayers
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
KS1 Prayers
Lunchtime
Thank you for the world so sweet.
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing.
Thank you God for everything.
Amen.
End Of The Day
We’re going home, we’re going home,
we’re going home to have some fun.
It’s time to go, it’s time to go,
because the day is nearly done.
And so we ask you Lord, keep us this night,
safe from home until morning light.
We’re going home, we’re going home,
and so goodnight to everyone.
Amen.
Green, Red and Blue Class
Lunchtime
For health and strength,
and daily food.
We give you thanks.
Our Lord.
Amen.
End of The Day
Dear Lord,
Bless our school.
That by learning together;
and by playing together;
we learn to serve thee;
and serve one another.
Amen.
We also have class Prayer Trees where children can post the name of someone they wish us to pray for.
In each classroom an area of reflection can be found which may include the bible and Christian artefacts etc.
